OWNER
Paul D. Funke
Paul has been working on trust and estate matters his entire career. Fresh out of law school, Paul opened his own small practice with a partner, focusing on estate and business planning. After several years of his practice. he received an offer to work as a trust officer for U.S. Bank, where he administered trusts across the nation. This role led to a more specialized trust compliance role, where he excelled in auditing U.S. Bank trust accounts to ensure policy and regulatory requirements were met. In 2017, he joined a well-known law firm, Hansen Dordell. This opportunity allowed him to once again interact one-on-one with clients, a true passion of his, and really put his trust and estate knowledge to practice. He became a Partner with Hansen Dordell in 2020. In late 2021, Paul opened Funke Law and is thankful for the opportunity to continue providing valuable support and expertise to his clients.
In addition to his many years of professional experience, Paul has been named a Five Star Professional and a Super Lawyers Rising Star – an award given to less than 2.5% of attorneys in Minnesota.
In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their two kids, Jack and Marley, at their home in Maple Grove. They enjoy walks, bike rides, rollerblading, playing tennis and golf, and running around in the backyard together.

Roxy Carlson
Roxy is a graduate of the Minnesota School of Business and has more than thirty years of experience as a legal administrative assistant. She spent most of her career in workers’ compensation litigation until she joined Hansen Dordell in 2019, and began working with Paul. Roxy has enjoyed focusing on trust and estate planning work and her favorite part of the job is interacting with and assisting clients, day in and day out.
Roxy’s two sons are her pride and joy and she recently became a grandma for the first time! She is also a proud hockey mom, dedicated Vikings fan and enjoys kayaking, spending time at the cabin, and visiting her hometown on the Iron Range.
